Originally from Switzerland, The Stettler family of Canmore, Alberta have owned and operated the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge for 3Â decades.
In June of 1980 the Stettler Family acquired the first part of today’s Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge. The Skiland Motel, a 26 unit property upgraded, polished and then again renovated with the addition of 16 new units for the 1988 Calgary Winter Olympic Games. In 1991, the Stettlers added another 42 rooms when acquiring the neighbouring Rocky Mountain Chalets. The joined properties were renamed the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge. Continuous renovations and maintenance have made the 83 room lodge a comfortable place to stay.
The Stettlers are proud of the quality and high level of service they are able to provide to their guests at the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge.
For many years the Stettlers and their children have been participants and supporters of local sporting events, competitive and non-competitive skiing and a variety of mountain activities.
