A notch above the rest, Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge is an independent motel-style lodge which has been family-owned for twenty years. Most rooms have kitchenettes. Loft units consisting of one bedroom plus a loft area are also available. 82 rooms. Hot tub, sauna, playground.

A locally-owned classic in Canmore, rooms here are reasonably priced if basic, but it’s been around for a long time and service is extremely dependable. Kids can roam about the parkland. It’s good for budget ski trips. Ask for a room at the back of the property.

Hans Peter started the idea of a Canmore event with the “Family Fun Race” in the 80′s and has been a key sponsor of our Marathon, providing funds and awards. The “Family Goes the Distance” award is uniquely Canmore in its warmth. H.P. has helped support athletes in Canmore with employment programs with his ski lodge at a time when flexible jobs were not so easily found. This Club continues to benefit from the use of the Guides Room at the Rocky Mountain Ski Lodge for executive meetings. On behalf of the Club, thank you!
