Moraine Lake, Banff National Park

Banff National Park is Canada’s largest and oldest conservation wilderness and wildlife park and is a Unesco World Heritage Site. The Park Gates are a quick 3 km drive from Canmore and 17 km to the town of Banff.

Banff is home to the historic Banff Springs Hotel, Cave and Basin Hot Springs, Sulphur Mountain Gondola, Banff Centre for the Performing Arts and many galleries, museums, shops, restaurants. Banff and Lake Louise are noted world class destinations with their fabulous emerald lakes, famous mountain ranges and abundant wildlife. They are the main attractions of visitors to the region.

Visitors are asked to do their part in protecting these wonderful landscapes by minimizing their impact during visits by following the parks adage of “take only pictures and leave only foot prints”!
